The modernization will contribute to the development of trade and transit potential, the creation of the most favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity to move goods across borders, and at the same time will ensure the appropriate level of customs control.”

Daniyar Imanaliev also held a series of working meetings with the leadership of the Kyrgyzstan customs service to discuss issues of completing modernization, subsequent ensuring of day-to-day operations and plans for further improvement of the customs infrastructure at checkpoints.

The efforts made by the customs service of the Kyrgyz Republic to effectively use the new infrastructure, including as part of achieving a number of promising objectives, were appreciated. Among them are the introduction of automated information exchange between all regulatory authorities at the border via secure communication channels; transition to the use of electronic shipping documents; connecting technical means of customs control to the Unified Automated System of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
