Zhanar Adikova

Biography

She was born on March 11, 1985 in Karaganda, the Republic of Kazakhstan.

She graduated from the Karaganda Institute of Contemporary Education "Bolashak" (2007, 2012) with a degree in economics and law.

She speaks Kazakh and Russian.

From 2008 to 2013, she served as Chief Specialist at the Natural Monopoly Regulation Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Department for Karaganda Region, Karaganda (Kazakhstan).

From 2013 to 2020, she was an Expert at the Directorate for Legal Compliance Supervision and Litigation; an Expert, then Chief Expert at the Directorate for Administrative Practice, Chief Expert at the Directorate for Supervision and Litigation, Chief Expert at the Directorate for Investigating Anticompetitive Actions of State, Local Executive Authorities and State Enterprises, Chief Expert at the Directorate for Investigating Financial Market and Other Sectors. Afterwards, she headed the Directorate for Industrial Investigations and Industrial Directorate of the Committee for Natural Monopoly Regulation, Competition Advocacy and Consumer Rights Protection, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In February-November 2020, she headed the Department for Kostanay Region of the Competition Advocacy and Promotion Committee, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Department for Kostanay Region of the Competition Advocacy and Promotion Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From November 2020 to November 2021, she was Director of the Department for Financial Markets and Other Sectors, Competition Advocacy and Promotion Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan).

Since November 2021, she is Director of the Department for Competition and Public Procurement Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
