04 Apr 2016 Director of the Industrial Policy Department of the EEC, Vladimir Maltsev: "Harmonisation of European and Eurasian standards is a key to successful localisation of agricultural machinery production in the EAEU” On April 1, the Eurasian Economic Commission hosted an extended session of the expert group under the Advisory Committee for Industry in the field of agricultural machinery production where approaches to localising agricultural machinery and equipment production was discussed accounting for the harmonisation of European and Eurasian standards.

04 Apr 2016 The EEC discussed the pressing issues and prospectives in the field of intellectual property On March 31, Bishkek hosted the seventh session of the Advisory Committee for Intellectual Property, chaired by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Timur Suleimenov, where representatives of the Eurasian Economic Union (the EAEU) states discussed harmonisation of international intellectual property treaties, proposals for establishment of coordination mechanisms for counteracting proliferation of counterfeit goods in the territory of the EAEU, as well as the need to establish an expert group under the Advisory Committee.

01 Apr 2016 EEC Minister Danil Ibrayev: "The Commission is creating conditions for the effective development of the economies of the Union” On April 1, Bishkek hosted an open lecture at the American University of Central Asia, where the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Danil Ibrayev spoke on the perspectives of development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the context of globalisation and the benefits for Kyrgyzstan due to its accession to the EAEU.

01 Apr 2016 EEC Minister Sergey Sidorskiy: "Import substitution and the production of competitive products are among the key objectives in the sphere of the AIC" On March 31, Moscow hosted a joint session of the boards of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus. The session was attended by the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergey Sidorskiy and State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota. Members of the Joint Board considered the results of the work and the development of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the field of the agroindustrial complex in 2015 and discussed issues of further cooperation in the sphere of the AIC (Agroindustrial Complex).

01 Apr 2016 The EEC considered the Main Directions and Stages of the Coordinated (Agreed) Transport Policy of the EAEU Member States On March 31, Bishkek hosted the regular session of the Consultative Committee on Transport and Infrastructure chaired by the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Danil Ibrayev, where the session participants considered the preparation of the policy document of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) “Main Directions and Stages of the Coordinated (Agreed) Transport Policy of the EAEU Member States”.

31 Mar 2016 EEC Minister Mukai Kadyrkulov discussed issues related to the customs administration with representatives of the customs services of the EAEU Member States On March 30, Astana hosted the regular session of the Joint Board of the Customs Services of the Member States of the Customs Union, where the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mukai Kadyrkulov took part in the review of a wide range of issues in the field of customs administration.

30 Mar 2016 EEC Minister Mukay Kadyrkulov: "The Parties must work out how to notify each other when imposing unilateral economic measures" On March 28, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mukay Kadyrkulov held the session by videoconference with representatives of national authorised ministries and agencies on the use by countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (the EAEU) of unilateral economic measures in relation to third countries.

30 Mar 2016 The EEC Board approved a draft Memorandum on Cooperation between the EEC and the International Air Transport Association On March 29, the regular session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission chaired by the President of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan addressed the issues in the areas of energy and infrastructure, economy and fiscal policy.
