12 Dec 2024 Bakytzhan Sagintaev Participated in Meeting of CIS Heads of Government Council Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Moscow on December 12. The meeting exchanged views on relevant matters of economic interaction in the Eurasian space. The documents on cooperation between the CIS countries, including the Eurasian Economic Union states, in the field of civil shipbuilding and production of shipboard equipment, digital transformation of the transport complex and a number of other spheres were considered and signed. Interaction with the CIS is one of the priorities of the Eurasian Economic Union's international agenda. Two joint action plans have already been implemented with the Commonwealth Executive Committee, and a third plan is currently being implemented. Sectoral dialogue with CIS entities is being developed in such areas as antitrust policy, standardization and uniformity of measurements, electric power industry, consumer protection, and statistics. The format of cooperation allows the parties to exchange information promptly and ensure active participation of experts in the discussion of topical projects developed within the associations. Combining the integration processes of the EAEU and CIS can multiply the effect of this cooperation. Cooperation between the Commission and the CIS Executive Committee began in 2012 with the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation. In November 2018, the parties signed a Memorandum on Deepening Interaction.
12 Dec 2024 Bakytzhan Sagintaev Greeted Vladimir Putin on Constitution Day of Russian Federation Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, greeted President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on Constitution Day. "The Constitution of Russia is a solid foundation of statehood, underpinning the progressive and sustainable development of the country," said the Head of the EEC Board in the letter of greetings. On behalf of the EEC and in his own capacity Bakytzhan Sagintaev wished the people of Russia prosperity and well-being.
12 Dec 2024 Magauiya Sarbasov Appointed Deputy Director of EEC Organizational Support and Protocol Department Magauiya Sarbasov was born in 1983 in Karaganda region, Republic of Kazakhstan. An economist and Master of Public Administration by education. He has been in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since August 2003. Over the years, he worked in the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in the UAE and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan. 2006-2007: expert at the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2008-2010: First Secretary, Adviser of the Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2010-2016: Head of the International Cooperation Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2016-2017: Consultant of the Executive Office, Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 2017-2018: Deputy Director of the Eurasian Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2018 to December 2024, he held the positions of Adviser to the President, Vice President, Chief Manager of NJSC Otandastar Qory (a subordinate organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan). On December 10, 2024 he was appointed Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Organizational Support and Protocol Department. An awardee of the Order of Kurmet and jubilee departmental medals. Holds the Councillor, 1st Class diplomatic rank. He authored a number of articles and scientific papers, co-authored the books The Kazakh World and International Interaction and Support Practices for Diaspora Communities. He speaks Kazakh, Russian, and English. He is married. Has four children.
06 Dec 2024 Bakytzhan Sagintaev wished Sadyr Japarov happy birthday Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, wished a happy birthday to Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Member of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. “You make a significant contribution to strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union space,” the congratulatory letter reads. On behalf of the Eurasian Economic Commission and in his personal capacity, Bakytzhan Sagintaev wished Sadyr Zhaparov good health, well-being and further achievements for the benefit of Kyrgyzstan and its citizens.
