Bakytzhan Sagintayev
Born on October 13, 1963 in Usharal village, Talas District, Dzhambul region, Kazakhstan.
A graduate of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov, PhD in Economics (1990, thesis subject: "Living Standard and Conditions of Urban and Rural Population: Socio-Economic Aspect").
Employment:
1985–1988: a lecturer of the political economy chair at the Alma-Aty Institute of National Economy.
1988–1992: an assistant lecturer, then senior lecturer and associate professor of the sociology chair at the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov.
1992–1993: President of the Marue tourist and commercial firm.
1993–1997: Director General of Kazmet, JSC.
1997–1998: Chief Specialist, then Deputy Director General of Lukoilneftegazstroy-K, CJSC.
1998–2002: served as Deputy Akim of Zhambyl Region, Deputy Chairman of the Small Business Support Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of Small Entrepreneurship Development Fund, CJSC, Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Natural Monopoly Regulation, Competition Advocacy and Small Business Support of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
