01 Mar 2021 EEC zeroed duties on raw materials for precious metal refining for three years On March 1, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board decided to reduce the rate of import customs duty on certain types of raw materials containing precious metals and their compounds to 0%. The decision was assented for three years. Today, the relevant duties range from 3 to 15% of the customs value.

On February 26, Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, held a meeting with Botirjon Asadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, and Shukhrat Shukurov, Plenipotentiary Representative of Uzbekistan to the EEC, at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission. During the meeting, Shukhrat Shukurov presented Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, with a letter from Abdulla Aripov, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, on his appointment.

25 Feb 2021 EEC and Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration signed Memorandum of Understanding Sergei Glazyev, EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, and Melvin Enrique Redondo, Secretary-General of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations. The signing ceremony took place on February 25 via videoconferencing.
