13 Jun 2018 The EEC Public Reception Office: a New Format of Business Engagement A visiting session of the Public Reception Office on the Competition and Antitrust Regulation block of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) was held in Astana (the Republic of Kazakhstan) on June 11. As it was emphasized by Marat Kussainov, Member of the EEC Board (Minister) in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation, strengthening business community engagement in terms of protecting competition in transboundary markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is one of the key objectives of the Commission, and the Public Reception Office format provides the business with the possibility to directly specify one’s problems by holding an open dialogue with the EEC representatives.

09 Jun 2018 Models of Eurasian Digital Cross-Sectoral Cooperation were offered at CIPR-2018 in Innopolis. “We need new models of digital cooperation to develop in the EAEU joint value-added chains, cross-sectoral digital ecosystems and to synchronize digitalization processes of business and state authorities through joint projects. Our objective within the framework of the conference is to develop and offer such model,” Karine Minasyan, Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), emphasized in her address to the panel session “Implementation of the EAEU Digital Agenda through Digital Projects” organized by the EEC. The event was held as part of the conference “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” in Innopolis (Russia). The ministers of the Commission, Karine Minasyan, Veronika Nikishina and Sergey Sidorsky, participated in the panel session.

08 Jun 2018 Minister Tatyana Valovaya: “Our goal is to find new common points in the field of economic cooperation between the EAEU and the EU” This year marks the 15th anniversary of the adoption of the Joint Statement of the Heads of State and Government on strengthening cooperation with a view to creating Common Economic Space based on Common European Economic Space concept at the Russia-EU Summit held in Saint Petersburg in May 2003. In addition, Russia-EU Permanent Partnership Council started its work and the dialogue on key cooperation areas and the creation of the “roadmap” was opened. “In view of such history, we need to restore confidence and resume an active dialogue with our partners in the European Union, to untangle the deadlock in the relations between the EAEU and the EU,” Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of the Development of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), stated at the headquarters of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) during a roundtable discussion “Prospects for the EAEU – EU Common Economic Space: Challenges and Opportunities for Business”.

28 May 2018 EEC explains the EAEU rules of competition on trans-border markets On May 28, the first offsite session of the Public Reception Office of the Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation Unit of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) was held in Minsk. According to Marat Khusainov, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Competition and Anti-Monopoly Regulation of the EEC, a new format for interaction with the business community was created to effectively explain the rights and responsibilities of business in the field of competition on the cross-border markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

25 May 2018 Tools of export support of EAEU countries discussed at SPIEF-2018 Tools of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) for export development of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) such as the creation of free trade zones, the cooperation of financial institutions and the holding of the International Forum Eurasian Week, were discussed at the round table “Modern Mechanisms for Export Promotion to Foreign Markets” as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum – 2018.

25 May 2018 Industrial cooperation in the space sphere to be launched in the EAEU The representatives of space agencies of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia agreed on industrial cooperation in the production of Earth remote-sensing satellites (ERS satellites). The resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Interstate Working Group on development of the intergovernmental program Integrated System of the EAEU Member States for the Production and Provision of Space and Geoinformation Services on the Basis of National Remote Sensing Data Sources within the framework of the forum “Space Days of the Republic of Kazakhstan – 2018”.
