01 Jan 1970 Myanmar interested in deepening cooperation with EAEU countries On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Sergei Glazyev, EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, met with the government delegation of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (ASEAN Member) – Aung Naing Oo, Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Win Shein, Minister for Planning and Finance, Ko Ko Hlaing, Minister for International Cooperation, Pwint San, Minister of Commerce, and Lwin Oo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in the Russian Federation. During the meeting, Myanmar representatives once again emphasized their interest in developing cooperation with the Union Member States in such areas as energy, food industry, infrastructure modernization. They also outlined the state's focus on increasing trade volumes, primarily by increasing the export of food and fruits.

01 Jan 1970 Maksat Mamytkanov and Vladimir Orlovsky discussed issues of improving efficiency of logistics processes and digital technologies in customs transit Implementing the Agreement on using navigation seals for monitoring traffic in the Eurasian Economic Union lays the groundwork for efficient customs control and monitoring of goods transported to the EAEU. This was stated by Maksat Mamytkanov, EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation during the 13th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Supply Chain Sustainability: Innovations in Logistics and Customs" held on September 15 in Minsk.  In an open dialogue mode, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the conference attendees discussed the legal and practical components of customs business and issues of further improvement of customs regulations with due regard to the digital agenda. On September 16, Maksat Mamytkanov, Member of the Board – EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation, held a meeting with Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, on relevant matters of customs regulations.

01 Jan 1970 EEC expands international cooperation in the field of labor migration and social protection The world's best practices in the field of labor migration were reviewed at a working meeting of the Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintaev with the Director of the Bureau of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Olga Kulaeva. "Constructive cooperation with international organizations, such as the ILO, the International Organization for Migration, the World Health Organization is carried out in order to apply the best international experience for further development and regulation of labor migration in the EAEU," the EEC Minister stressed. Olga Kulaeva, in turn, informed about the ongoing work of the ILO in the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, noting that labor migration and social protection are key issues in the organization's activities.  The parties discussed organizational aspects of practical cooperation. Priority areas have been identified such as the exchange of information and analytical materials, the best international practices in the field of labor migration, as well as joint activities, including consultations on specific problematic aspects, and the development of proposals for their solution. The parties exchanged views on the issue of international legal regulation of emerging new forms of employment (remote form of employment, platform employment, etc.). The EEC and the ILO will work out the possibility of concluding a memorandum of understanding and cooperation. The establishment by the EEC of close working contacts with a wide range of international organizations contributes to the development of proposals for further expanding the rights and improving the level of social protection of workers in the EAEU.

01 Jan 1970 Amendments made to documents adopted for implementing pilot project in foreign e-commerce On March 14, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved amendments to the documents adopted in 2021 to implement the pilot project in the field of foreign e-commerce in online marketplaces. In accordance with Disposition No. 7 of the Commission's Council dated April 5, 2021 defining the procedure for conducting the pilot project (experiment) in the field of foreign e-commerce, e-commerce goods can be sold by natural persons in foreign marketplaces via the Internet while being stored in customs (bonded) warehouses. The adopted amendments are conditioned by the established law enforcement practice and are aimed at clarifying the rules for filling in express-cargo declarations and applications for goods release before submitting such declarations. "These amendments will ensure that e-commerce goods imported into the customs territory of the Union and placed under the customs warehouse procedure will be automatically removed from control when they are sold to natural persons," noted Eldar Alisherov, EEC Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation.
