Coupling EAEU with China and Europe is key idea of Great Eurasian partnership
Heads of the economic and foreign ministries of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States and the People's Republic of China and Andrey Slepnev, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission discussed the impact of the pandemic at the global and national economy as well as measures to strengthen international trade on the eve of the first meeting of the Joint Commission for implementing the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the EAEU and China. The discussion was held within the plenary session of "Coupling the Eurasian Economic Union and Chinese Belt and Road Initiative" videoforum organized by the EEC with the general support of the EAEU Business Council, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Business Russia.

Sergei Glazyev proposed shaping a Eurasian monetary and financial system
Sergei Glazyev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, put forward his proposals on creating the Eurasian Economic Union's national currency-based monetary and financial system during the session dedicated to the prospects for extending the EAEU-China financial cooperation at "Coupling the EAEU and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative" online forum being held on October 26.

German business is proposed to more actively use EAEU market opportunities
The Eurasian Economic Commission proposes to intensify cooperation within the Greater Eurasian space by establishing a dialogue between key regional integration associations and States. This was stated by Goar Barseghyan, Director of the EEC Integration Development Department, at the 4th Conference "Eurasian Economic Union: importance, achievements and development prospects" for the German business in the EAEU held on October 22.

EAEU ready to propose venue for converging regulatory issues for Eurasian business
The Eurasian Economic Union could become a venue for organizing and facilitating consultations of major economies in the continent to narrow regulatory approaches, develop coupling and expand cooperation. This was stated by Andrey Slepnev, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, speaking at the session "Structural economic crisis and pandemic: seeking a new geopolitical and socioeconomic order (Europe, Eurasia, USA, China)" within the Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona.

EEC decisions on preliminary information sharing to make life easier for businesses
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has adopted a number of decisions on the issue of preliminary information sharing. Some amendments were made to the procedures of preliminary information sharing on goods expected to be imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union by various modes of transport, the procedures for registration and use of preliminary information. The amendments affected the preliminary information structure as well.

EAEU to use best international experience in developing coordinated approaches to combating intellectual property infringements on the Internet
Askar Kishkembayev, Head of the Secretariat of the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, told about methods of protecting intellectual property rights on the Internet at the round table in memory of Professor A. L. Makovsky "Intellectual Rights in the Modern Era". The event was held on October 21 as part of the international scientific and practical conference of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation "15th Annual Scientific Readings in Memory of Professor S. N. Bratus".

EAEU to harmonize legislation in the sphere of natural monopolies
The Eurasian Economic Commission has drafted proposals to regulatory legal acts in the spheres of natural monopolies. This became known following the 20th meeting of the Advisory Committee on Natural Monopolies held on October 22.
