EEC has started developing an Agreement on regulatory “sandboxes” in the EAEU
“The creation of a regulatory sandbox system of the Eurasian Economic Union is one of the priorities of the initiatives approved by the Heads of States of the Union. It’s a realistic possibility for the project initiators, regulators of the Eurasian Economic Commission to test innovative solutions, new business models, identify their strengths and weaknesses, better understand all possible risks and test regulatory approaches before they are legally enshrined,” – the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Karine Minasyan reported at the first meeting of experts devoted to the discussion of the regulatory “sandbox” system to be created in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

EEC reduced customs duties on certain components for watches and classified pharmaceuticals for treatment of respiratory tract infections
The issues of trade, customs cooperation and technical regulation were discussed at the Meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 24. Decisions were adopted to reduce import customs duties on certain types of goods, pharmaceuticals for the treatment of respiratory tract infections have been classified in accordance with the Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union (CN FEA EAEU), and the form of the Union testing certificate of certain critical components of amusement rides was approved.

The EEC Discussed Issues of Social Welfare of Workers and Elimination of Barriers on the EAEU’s Common Labor Market
Following the consultations at the fourth meeting of the Advisory Committee on social security, compliance with pension rights, medical care provision and professional activity of workers of the Member States it was managed to reconcile the opinions of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the draft Agreement on Pension Benefits of Workers of the EAEU Member States.

Tatyana Valovaya: “EEC is committed to principles of free trade and liberalization of trade and economic activity of the EAEU Member States”
This was announced by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya in its traditional annual address to the representatives of foreign business communities carrying out their activities in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The meeting attended by more than 50 foreign companies and business associations as well as diplomatic missions of a number of countries took place in the American Chamber of Commerce.

EEC sanctioned extension of the term of state price regulation for white sugar in Belarus, adopted decisions to develop the institute of advance notification of goods, approved amusement ride standards
Issues of customs cooperation, competition, antimonopoly and technical regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were considered at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board on April 10. It sanctioned extension of the term of state price regulation for white sugar in the Republic of Belarus, determined the procedure for submitting information on the goods imported into the Union by waterborne transport, approved the lists of standards to the technical regulations on the safety of amusement rides, updated lists of standards to the technical regulations for perfumes and cosmetics, and adopted a number of other decisions aimed at deepening Eurasian integration.

Dynamics of the EAEU digital transformation processes must be subject to statistical analysis
Issues of assessment of statistical figures of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Digital Agenda were discussed at the platform of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Dynamics of the EAEU digital transformation processes must be subject to statistical analysis. This decision was adopted at the twelfth meeting of the Advisory Committee on Statistics under the auspices of the Commission Board, which took place on April 5 and was chaired by the Member of the EEC Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics Tatyana Valovaya.

Joint digital projects of the EAEU countries will be discussed under CIPR
On June 6-8, the participants of the conference “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” (CIPR) in Innopolis (the Republic of Tatarstan) will discuss the Digital Agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as well as determine the Russian finalists of the competition “Eurasian Digital Platforms”. The Eurasian Economic Commission acts as an official partner of the event.

EAEU countries are establishing electronic communications for veterinary and phytosanitary problems
Creation of electronic system of traceability of goods flows having animal and plant origin in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were discussed by the Heads of the authorized public authorities in the field of veterinary control (supervision) and plants quarantine at the conference held in the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) at the initiative of the Member of the EEC Board - Minister in charge of Technical Regulation Valery Koreshkov.
