GDP growth in the EAEU countries after establishment of the FTA with India could reach up to 2.7 billion US dollars
The total GDP growth of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as a result of the conclusion of the free trade area agreement with India could reach 1.4 billion US dollars in the short term, and 2.7 billion US dollars in the long-term. The Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Veronika Nikishina, told about it at the business breakfast "EAEU – India: a strategic partnership", which was held within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 1.

The EEC Minister Sergey Sidorskiy: "Formation of Broad Eurasian Partnership should promote innovative development of the real sector of the economy of the Union countries”
The formation of Broad Eurasian Partnership, its conjunction with One Belt, One Road strategy will expand the integration path, help develop new technologies, implement global megaprojects in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was stated by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Sergey Sidorskiy, opening the scientific and technological conference "Conjunction of Broad Eurasian Partnership and the One Belt, One Road initiative, which was held on May 31 in Saint Petersburg shortly before the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

By 2020, aquaculture production in the EAEU countries will grow to 350 thousand tons
In recent years, in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Unit (EAEU) there has been a steady increase in the production of fish in fish farms. In general, in 2016, the EAEU countries produced more than 200 ths. tons, that is almost a fifth part more than it was two years earlier. Today's state of affairs and prospects for aquaculture development in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was discussed by the participants of the round table held in Moscow in the framework of the International Fish & SeaFood Summit and Trade Show for Animal Husbandry and Processing VIV Russia 2017.

The EEC will introduce a system of interstate electronic document workflow
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) set tax duty rates for some products, amended the veterinary requirements for reproductive materials, approved the draft Programme of cooperation between the EEC and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), adopted the model of information security threats to create a certification center of the Commission and to begin the implementation of the system of interstate electronic document workflow with the mutual recognition of electronic signature.

Congratulations on the third anniversary of signing the Treat y on the Eurasian Economic Union
On May 29, 3 years ago, in Astana, the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, signed the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which marks the beginning of a qualitatively new stage of integration development in the Eurasian space. After quite a little time, the document was signed by the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, and the President of Kyrgyzstan, Almazbek Atambayev.

The session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held on May 26 in Kazan (the Russian Federation). The Prime Ministers of the five countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) discussed certain issues that are important for deepening the integration processes, including removal of barriers and restrictions to free movement of goods, services and labour, the Union's digital agenda and the opportunities for introducing innovation through supporting scientific research and development work in key industries.

The procedure for joint research and development (R&D) work in in the sphere of agroindustrial complex (AIC) of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was developed by the Commission for the effective use of scientific and innovation capacity of the Union countries, for avoiding duplication of research in agroindustrial sector and increasing cooperation in science and innovation in the agroindustrial complex.
