Arzybek Kozhoshev told about work to develop smart transport systems in EAEU

Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the 2nd International Research-to-Practice Conference "Smart Transport Systems and Infrastructure of the Digital Economy", which is being held in Tashkent. The main topics of the event were learning from international experience in the digital transition of transportation and logistics, as well as the contribution of smart transport systems to the development of international trade.

"Automation tools are becoming increasingly available with the rise of the digital economy, they allow to achieve almost complete transparency in movement of goods, increase predictability and reduce risks in cargo transportation, as well as lower transportation and logistics costs thus promoting international trade," mentioned Arzybek Kozhoshev.

The EEC Minister has reported that the Commission explores opportunities to develop smart transport systems within the EAEU. He also spoke about the Concept for Improving the Interoperability of Smart Transport Systems, aimed at enhancing the process of introducing new technologies into the transport infrastructure.

"We evolve, so the EAEU's experience in introducing smart transport systems and digital infrastructure improves with new technologies," the EEC Minister said.
