Arzybek Kozhoshev: "Creating the Eurasian Network University will have a positive impact on the EAEU labor market"

Creating the Eurasian Network University (ENU) and its focus on professional training for the EAEU common labor market "will have a positive impact on establishing the labor market, improving professional standards and, in general, developing our countries". This was stated by Arzybek Kozhoshev, EEC Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure, speaking at the first Forum of the Eurasian Network University on March 3.
Cooperation in the field of education is included in the Strategic Directions for Developing the EAEU until 2025. The initiative of the Kyrgyz Republic, which presided over the EAEU governing bodies in 2022, to create a Eurasian Network University won the widespread support of the academic community.

The ENU primary objectives include forming a common education space, and developing human and intellectual capital of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Forum attendees shared their ideas for the ENU development. The Forum brought together heads of leading higher educational institutions of the EAEU countries, representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, public authorities and the academic community.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing the Eurasian Network University was signed by rectors of the EAEU countries’ leading universities on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum held on May 25, 2022 in Bishkek. The goal of the ENU is to gradually form a barrier-free environment in the field of education. It is expected that the ENU will train skilled personnel using distance learning technologies, organize research and development activities, enhance the personal growth of young people in the spirit of the Eurasian integration values and other focus areas.

The Eurasian Network University was formed as a scientific and educational consortium without forming a legal entity. The ENU structural subdivisions are assigned to specific universities participating in the Memorandum.
