25 Oct 2016 The EEC held consultations for VAT charging on imported goods from the EAEU countries to Belarus On October 21, the Department on functioning of internal markets of the Eurasian Economic Commission held consultations on issues related to the collection of value added tax (VAT) when importing goods from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to the Republic of Belarus. The consultations were held by videoconference involving representatives of the Union Member States.

On October 24, at the initiative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the Eurasian Economic Commission held a presentation of the next issue of the economic review of the IMF for countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus "Regional Economic Outlook”.

25 Oct 2016 The EEC Minister Tatiana Valovaya: "We aim to improve coordination in the area of macroeconomic policy within the EAEU that allows reversing the negative effects of external shocks on the economies of our countries" On October 24, the Eurasian Economic Commission held a meeting between the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Tatiana Valovaya with the Deputy Director of the IMF for Middle East and Central Asia Juha Kähkönen and the head of the Permanent Mission of the IMF in Russia Gabriel di Bella.

On October 24 Moscow hosted the Conference "Legal Issues in the Pharmaceutical Industry", organized by the Russian weekly newspaper The Moscow Times, where the issues related to the formation of a common market of medicines and the regulatory legal framework governing this area in the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed. The problem related to the inspection of pharmaceutical enterprises and issues related to the introduction of parallel importation and compulsory licensing were also reviewed. - Members the Technical Regulation and Accreditation Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission took part in two sessions at the conference.
