15 Mar 2017 EEC Minister Karine Minasyan: “Challenges of digital transformation require consolidation of efforts of the EAEU countries” Implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was discussed by representatives of the States of the Union and the Eurasian Economic Commission. For this purpose, the Commission delegation headed by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information&Communication Technologies Karine Minasyan visited Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in February and March.

14 Mar 2017 The Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan and RF Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the development of economic relations of the EAEU with third countries Meeting of the Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan with the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was held. The parties discussed topical questions of the development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as well as prospects of deepening relations between the EAEU with third countries and integration associations.

14 Mar 2017 The EEC invited the EAEU countries to bring the principles and approaches for monitoring compliance with the requirements of technical regulations Principles and approaches for the circulation of goods in the EAEU, requirements for which are not established in the Union's technical regulations, as well as proposals to bring together the principles of control of compliance with technical regulations by national supervising bodies were discussed by the EEC Board.

14 Mar 2017 The EEC discussed the improvement of vehicle control at the external border of the EAEU On March 14, in Moscow, the leaders of transport control authorities of the EAEU Member States discussed the implementation of “The Procedure for the implementation of transport (vehicle) controls at the external border of the Eurasian Economic Union”. The document establishes common approaches to the control of vehicles leaving or transiting through the territory of the EAEU States. During the meeting the most topical issues of communication were also raised, with an emphasis on the need to improve the quality of data shared between the control bodies.

13 Mar 2017 The EEC delegation took part in the annual session of the UN Statistical Commission The delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission headed by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of integration and macroeconomics Tatyana Valovaya participated in the 48th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, held at the UN headquarters.

13 Mar 2017 Until the end of this year, the EEC will elaborate the road map for the harmonization of standards in the field of natural monopolies The draft “Road map” in the field of regulation of natural monopolies in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is envisaged to be adopted before the end of 2017 at the level of Heads of Government of the EAEU States. For this purpose, the Department of Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will ensure development of the document until June 1 this year. This was agreed by the participants of the tenth session of the Advisory Committee on natural monopolies of the EEC.
