Belarus can expect exports to double thanks to interim agreement with Iran leading to an FTA
According to experts, an interim agreement leading to the formation of a free trade area between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Islamic Republic of Iran can result in a double increase in exports from the Republic of Belarus to this country. This was stated by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Veronika Nikishina on July 9 in Minsk at the annual seminar for Heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Belarus.

The EEC and AIFC discussed the prospects for cooperation
With the official opening of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), its cooperation with the institutions of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) can become the basis for cooperation on the development of financial markets. This was stated by the member of the Board (Minister) for Economic and Financial Policy of the EEC Timur Zhaksylykov during the plenary session "EEC – AIFC: horizons of cooperation" held in Astana within the framework of the Astana Finance Days conference.

The importance of the opening of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) as part of the world and Eurasian financial system was emphasized by the Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya at the panel session "The Impact of Blocking Technologies and Crypto-Currency on the Implementation of the Co-ordinated Macroeconomic Policy and the Formation of a Common financial market within the framework of the Unified Energy System". The event, moderated by the EEC Minister, was held on July 4 within the framework of the Astana Finance Days conference, timed to coincide with the official opening ceremony of the AIFC.

Sergey Sidorsky: "Prospective areas of cooperation of the EAEU with Singapore are the attraction of investments in the modernization of industrial complexes and the formation of a joint industrial and innovative infrastructure"
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is interested in establishing constructive interaction with Singapore and with the Association of states of Southeast Asia in general for the development of a dialogue in the trade, economic and industrial spheres, the implementation of joint projects on mutually beneficial basis and building a new cooperation architecture. This was stated by the member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and the Agro-Industrial Complex of the EEC Sergey Sidorsky during a working meeting with the State Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore Ko Po Koon.

At the roundtable "Digital Initiatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the implementation of the EAEU digital agenda" held on July 4 in Astana the business community of Kazakhstan presented potential initiatives for their possible implementation within the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): "Use of Open Data", "Open Digital Platform for Small and Medium Enterprises", and "Electronic Licensing".

ECE will cooperate with the Astana International Financial Center
On July 4 in Astana, within the framework of the Astana Finance Days conference, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC). On behalf of the EEC, the document was signed by Timur Zhaksylykov, the member of the Board (Minister) for Economic and Financial Policy of the EEC. On the part of the AIFC – by its manager Kayrat Kelimbetov.

The participation of the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in such global projects as the Eurasian integration and the Silk Road creates new opportunities for the countries of the region to grow and diversify their cooperation ties. This was stated by Sergey Sidorsky, the member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) at the 29th annual session of the Crans Montana forum in Brussels.
