We hope that the outcome of this week will be that you are inspired with the idea of integration,” Tigran Sargsyan, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), said at the opening ceremony of the International School of Eurasian Integration on October 1 in Moscow, at the EEC headquarters.

28 Sep 2018 The EEC proposes to protect competition in the EAEU markets by proactive methods The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) proposes to be proactive in the competition protection in the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Marat Kussainov, the Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Competition and Antitrust regulation of the EEC, announced this at the extended meeting of the Collegium of the Federal Antimonopoly Service as part of the annual international event “Competition Week in Russia”. “We are already working on such institutions, and in the near future, we plan to submit the proposal about them for consideration by the authorized bodies of the countries of the Union,” the EEC Minister pointed out.

26 Sep 2018 The EEC has established tariff quotas for Vietnamese rice and extended the anti-dumping measure for Indian electrodes On September 25, the foreign trade-related issues of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were considered at a meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). In particular, the EEC Board established tariff quotas on long-grain rice from Vietnam for 2019 and extended the anti-dumping measure on graphite electrodes from India.

21 Sep 2018 EEC invited business for a more active participation in public discussion of Commission’s draft decisions The decisions of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) take into consideration more than 65% of comments and proposals of the business community of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries. This was announced by the Member of the Board –Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC Timur Zhaksylykov on September 19 in Yerevan at the meeting with the business community of the Republic of Armenia.

21 Sep 2018 Eurasian integration sets out on a path of the Fourth Industrial Revolution In 2019, the States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will go ahead with implementation of the concept to create conditions for digital transformation of the industry and establishment of Single Digital Space. This was announced by the Member of the Board –Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the EEC Alexander Subbotin at the plenary session of the VI Forum of Kazakhstani Machine Builders.

21 Sep 2018 Ministers of Energy of EAEU countries discussed approaches to setting prices of gas transportation for the Union’s common market The Ministers of Energy of the five Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) discussed the single methodology of tariff (price) setting in respect of gas transportation services within the common gas market. The joint conference took place at the headquarters of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on September 19.“Tremendous work has been done to establish the common gas market of the Union. We hold this conference to comply with the instruction of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in order to settle the only remaining difference”, - noted the Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan in opening the consultation.
