EEC discussed implementing transport policy in EAEU
Issues of implementing the Main Directions and Stages of the Coordinated (Agreed) Transport Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States and the possibility of resuming passenger service by various modes of transport in the EAEU were discussed by attendees of the 18th meeting of the Advisory Committee on Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission held on October 21 via videoconferencing.

EAEU creates conditions for electronic trading of warehouse certificates for agricultural products
On October 20, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved an Agreement on the Rules of Release (Issue), Circulation and Redemption Within the Eurasian Economic Union of Warehouse Certificates for Agricultural Products. The document will be sent to the EAEU countries for intrastate approval.

EEC discussed planning of draft Strategy-2025 implementation
The Working Group headed by Sergei Glazyev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, discussed at a meeting held on October 21 the draft Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Integration until 2025 as well as issues associated with planning the strategic document implementation.

EEC invited to study regional organizations' experience on competition protection at UNCTAD annual sessions
Arman Shakkaliev, representative of the EEC Competition and Antitrust Regulation Unit, spoke about the goals of introducing regional competition norms in the Eurasian Economic Union and results of the Eurasian Economic Commission's work on competition and antitrust law enforcement over five years at the VIII UN Online-Conference on Competition and Consumer Rights Protection.

EEC zeroed import duty rate on dried coconuts for confectionery industry
The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has reduced the rate of import customs duty on dried coconuts from 3% to 0% for a period of three years. The decision was adopted following the consideration of the initiative proposal of the Russian Federation.
