Duty-free import of BELAZ engines to be continued

The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Council has extended the term for applying zero rate of import customs duty for certain types of internal combustion engines up to and including December 31, 2022.

"When adopting the decision, an arrangement was taken into account on logistic setup of engines manufactured by the EAEU countries’ enterprises for dump trucks of the 240-tonne size class as well as on addressing the issue of using such engines in the manufacture of mining vehicles of the 200-tonne size class", noted Andrey Slepnev, EEC Minister in charge of Trade.
According to him, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus pursue active negotiations on developing cooperation and engine manufacture in the Eurasian Economic Union.
