18 Sep 2025 Ruslan Davydov: "Introducing the common transit system and electronic navigation seals are the key areas of digitalization within the EAEU" Ruslan Davydov, Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took part in the International Research-to-Practice Conference "Prospects for Developing Customs Legislation: A Balance of Trust and Control" organized by the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus. In his speech, Ruslan Davydov noted that digitalization in the field of customs is an effective instrument in the further development of the Eurasian integration. "The introduction of the common transit system, tracking shipments using electronic navigation seals, as well as modernized approaches to arranging and equipping checkpoints taking into account breakthrough technologies are the priority areas for customs digitalization the in the EAEU," the EEC Minister emphasized. As part of his visit to Minsk, Ruslan Davydov held a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and discussed relevant matters of the Eurasian agenda: the implementation of the Declaration on Further Development of the Eurasian Integration until 2030 and for the period until 2045 in terms of customs cooperation, as well as instruments for suppression of illicit trade turnover in the EAEU. The head of the EEC Customs Unit invited representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus to take an active part in the EEC seminar in October this year dedicated to smart checkpoints, as well as digitalization of customs authorities in the EAEU countries. The seminar will be attended by representatives of public authorities, the business community and academia.
