Anti-Dumping Duty for Chinese Tubes from Malaysia
On December 13, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) established an anti-dumping duty on cold-deformed seamless stainless steel tubes imported in the EAEU from Malaysia, and facilitated the procedure of transfer by individuals of electronic devices containing encryption elements and meant for personal use. It also recommended to the EAEU countries to use the best practices and standards of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) taking into account the features of their own social and economic development and legal regulation, and the experience of their cooperation with the OECD.

Digital technologies will allow to substantially simplify foreign trade procedures
Mukai Kadyrkulov, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), declared at the international conference on transboundary paperless trade “Single Window on the crest of a new technological mode of life” about the possibility of applying within the national Single Window mechanisms cutting-edge information technologies, including Big Data, cloud solutions and end-to-end data processing technologies.

Students Will Develop an EAEU Model for the Future

The Program for the Formation of Common EAEU Oil and Oil Products Markets Actually Agreed
The program for the formation of common oil and oil products markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is actually agreed. There is one issue left unresolved, which is now under active discussion. This was reported by Leonid Shenets, Director of the Energy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), at the International Conference “Russian Oil Products Market-2017” organized by the RPI agency.

TAZA KOOM Aligned with the EAEU Digital Agenda
On December 11, in Bishkek at the International Conference “Taza Koom Digital Society: Perspectives for e-Government, e-Education and e-Health in the Kyrgyz Republic” Karine Minasyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), underlined the need to synchronize measures within the framework of the Taza Koom digital transformation program of the Kyrgyz Republic and the measures within the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) until 2025.

The EAEU first digital initiatives are already under way
"In the near future, the first project associated with digital traceability will be launched within the framework of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). It creates conditions of mutual digital exchange and interaction primarily in the sphere of trade and certain benefits for government agencies," said Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Karine Minasyan at the 4th Eurasian Economic Congress.

EEC Minister Tatyana Valovaya spoke on the EAEU contribution in achieving economic coherence and stability in Eurasia
Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya believes, "The EAEU already contributes to the development of economic coherence and stability in Eurasia." According to the Minister, the Union's potential in this field is great and is highly valued by key international organizations, including the UN bodies. Tatyana Valovaya expressed such opinion having spoken at the special panel discussion "Economic Connectivity, Trade and Economic Relations in the Region of Greater Europe and in the Eurasian Space" within the framework of the 24th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) held in Vienna on 8 December.
