The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the draft Agreement on Administrative Cooperation in the Field of Research and Development (R&D) Services, which was sent to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union to undergo the internal legal procedures necessary for its signing.
The agreement will ensure efficient information exchange between the competent authorities of the EAEU countries to protect the consumer rights of service users and combat unfair business practices in R&D.
The draft document defines the list of information that will be posted on the official websites of the authorized bodies of the parties, including current regulatory legal acts, events and information about participants in the common market of R&D services. In addition, the exchange of information on issued permits and their cancellation is envisaged.
According to Bakhyt Sultanov, EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, the implementation of this Agreement will enable transparency and security in the EAEU common market of R&D services.
“The agreement will not only protect consumer rights, but will also create more favorable conditions for the common market participants,” the EEC Minister noted.
