Alymbek Orozbekov, Head of the Secretariat of the Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held negotiations with representatives of Abu-Dhabi Ports Group (United Arab Emirates) on November 7 this year in Abu Dhabi. Experts from the EEC Department of Transport and Infrastructure participated in the meeting online.
The meeting, guided by the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Commission and the UAE Government dated 2022, discussed plans for cooperation and joint activities in the near future.
The parties discussed the possibility of signing a joint action plan for 2024–2026, including possible activities for the development of freight traffic and transport infrastructure in the context of developing the North – South international transport corridor, as well as the application of modern digital solutions in the field of transport and logistics, in particular, the creation of digital transport corridors and the development of electronic document management.
The parties agreed to continue consultations to work out the possibilities and conditions for establishing cooperation and signing a joint action plan with Abu-Dhabi Ports Group.
