EEC consistently unifies information to be specified in customs declaration

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has made amendments to the Procedure for Filling Out the Declaration for Goods.

The changes have been made to further unify the rules for specifying particular information in the declaration when importing particular categories of goods into the Eurasian Economic Union.

“Unified rules for all EAEU countries provide for the information to be specified in the declaration for compressors, vertical freezers, railway and tram cars, tractors, instruments, and equipment imported into the Union customs territory,” Sergey Vladimirov, Director of the Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice noted. “This rule will create equal conditions for businesses when declaring the above categories of goods.”

In accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 105 of the EAEU Customs Code, the procedure for filling out the customs declaration shall be determined by the EEC.

The Procedure for filling out the declaration for goods was approved by Decision No. 257 of the Customs Union's Commission dated May 20, 2010.

Annex 2 to this Procedure contains a list of clarifying information to be specified under number 1 in column 31 of the declaration for goods in relation to particular categories of goods undergoing the customs release procedures for domestic consumption, customs warehouse, processing in the customs territory, processing outside the customs territory, temporary import (admission), temporary export, re-import, re-export, free customs zone, free warehouse, and Annex 4 – for goods undergoing the customs export procedure.
