EAEU harmonizes its Unified veterinary requirements with international standards
On July 9, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) considered issues in the spheres of customs and technical regulation, sanitary, phytosanitary and veterinary measures, trade, macroeconomics, digitization, functioning of the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

EAEU prepares for launching a system of data exchange on products which fail to meet technical regulation requirements
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) together with the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic conducted a comprehensive testing on data exchange between the relevant departments responsible for compliance with technical regulation requirements in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries. The testing involved information systems developed in these countries as well as the EAEU integrated information system.

EEC and Pacific Alliance signed Declaration on Partnership
“The formalization of a dialogue between the EEC and the Pacific Alliance – a young but rapidly expanding integration association of Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Chile – has resulted from a long negotiation process and reflects the mutual interest of two organizations to get to know each other better and share experiences with the aim of more effective internal development and deepening economic cooperation between all Member States”, - declared Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), after concluding the Declaration on Partnership between the Commission and the States participating in the Pacific Alliance Framework Agreement. The document was signed on July 5 in Lima during the 14th Summit of the Pacific Alliance at the level of Heads of States.

Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Nurlan Akmatov and Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Kunio Mikuriya discussed in Brussels (Belgium) the issues of improving customs regulation, trade facilitation in accordance with international standards and best practices of customs administration as well as prospects for the Eurasian integration in the customs sphere.

Belarus has started to issue e-Passports for vehicles
A number of automakers of the Republic of Belarus such as MAZ (Minsk Automobile Plant), Unison and Belgee confirmed their readiness to start manufacturing motor vehicles with e-Passports for their products, including those supplied to the Russian Federation. Nowadays, the first five e-Passports for MAZ, Geely and Zotye vehicles produced in Belarus have been already issued. Thus, the Republic launched practical work on e-Passports.

Long-term lowflation contributes to human wellbeing of the EAEU countries
“In the last few years, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States have made significant progress in ensuring macroeconomic stability. Central and national banks have successfully coped with the challenges of stabilization policies in the face of growing uncertainty and increased cross-border effects from commodity price fluctuations. There is a steady trend of decrease and gradual convergence in the Union inflation rates which ultimately has a positive impact on the human wellbeing”, – told Toty Kaliaskarova, Director of Macroeconomic Policy Department, speaking at the round table “Monetary policy in the EAEU: opportunities and coordination limits”. The event organized by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia was held on June 27-28 in Dilijan (Armenia).

Regulatory framework for coordinating subsidies has been formed
A condition for applying a certain criterion for the admissibility of specific subsidies in respect of industrial goods recognized as co-produced by the Member States was approved at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council held on June 21. From now on, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) can apply to the Commission with a view to make their subsidies agreed.
