14 Mar 2017 The EEC discussed the improvement of vehicle control at the external border of the EAEU On March 14, in Moscow, the leaders of transport control authorities of the EAEU Member States discussed the implementation of “The Procedure for the implementation of transport (vehicle) controls at the external border of the Eurasian Economic Union”. The document establishes common approaches to the control of vehicles leaving or transiting through the territory of the EAEU States. During the meeting the most topical issues of communication were also raised, with an emphasis on the need to improve the quality of data shared between the control bodies.

13 Mar 2017 Until the end of this year, the EEC will elaborate the road map for the harmonization of standards in the field of natural monopolies The draft “Road map” in the field of regulation of natural monopolies in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is envisaged to be adopted before the end of 2017 at the level of Heads of Government of the EAEU States. For this purpose, the Department of Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will ensure development of the document until June 1 this year. This was agreed by the participants of the tenth session of the Advisory Committee on natural monopolies of the EEC.

10 Mar 2017 Agricultural machinery manufacturers from the EAEU countries will gain easier access to third country markets At the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on March 7, decision on stimulation of export of tractors, combine harvesters, hinged mechanisms and agricultural machinery manufactured in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to the markets of third countries was taken.

10 Mar 2017 Exchange of customs information to be established between Vietnam and EAEU countries Representatives of the customs service of Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) agreed on electronic exchange of information for products imported from Vietnam to the EAEU countries and back. The electronic information exchange will increase transparency of trade flows and ensure more effective implementation of the free trade agreements concluded by the Republic of Vietnam and the EAEU in 2015.

10 Mar 2017 Collections of the EEC acts on medicines circulation on the common market of the EAEU were published Collections of normative legal acts of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the sphere of medicines circulation adopted by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) were published. The publication consists of six volumes that cover basic documents, taking into account the stages of medicines circulation, including their production, distribution, pharmaceutical inspection, etc.

09 Mar 2017 Business will participate in the development of “road maps” to launch public transport services market in the EAEU The Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Sergey Negrey and Vice President, Member of the Board of JSC “United transport and logistics company” (OTLK) Igor Zgursky held a working meeting. The parties agreed on participation of OTLK representatives as experts in the preparation of the road map to implement the main directions and stages of the coordinated transport policy of the EAEU Member States.
