05 Feb 2021 EEC and CIS Executive Committee signed cooperation plan for 2021-2022 Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, and Sergey Lebedev, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, signed the action plan for 2021-2022 on implementing the Memorandum on Deepening Interaction between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States on February 5 in Almaty.

04 Feb 2021 Sergei Glazyev: "Uzbekistan, as the Observer State, has actively joined the dialogue with the EAEU" Sergei Glazyev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Botirjon Asadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, discussed issues of interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Republic of Uzbekistan as the Observer State at the EAEU. The meeting was held on February 3 at the EEC’s headquarters.

04 Feb 2021 EEC restored bona fide competition in tea beverage market The Department for Antitrust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission involving representatives of the competition agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries has approved and issued a Proposal to eliminate violations of the general competition rules in the transboundary market of tea beverages. In September last year, the Greenfield tea manufacturer - Orimi Group of Companies, filed an application with the Commission about unfair competition on the part of a number of companies registered in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The trademark owner claimed that the design of labels of tea beverages sold by the companies listed in the application was "confusingly similar" to the Greenfield trademarks.

04 Feb 2021 Republic of Cuba appointed permanent representative to EEC Julio Antonio Garmendia Pena, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation, has been appointed by the Government of Cuba as Permanent Representative of his country being the Observer State at the Eurasian Economic Union in the Eurasian Economic Commission.
