In response to the warning of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Alina Group LLP (Republic of Kazakhstan) eliminated signs of unfair competition in the cross-border market for dry plaster gypsum mixtures.
Earlier, the Commission was approached by VOLMA Management Company LLC (Russian Federation) with a statement of unfair competition.
Having considered the statement, the actions of Alina Group LLP on registration and use of the SLOY trademark (mailing of warning letters and pre-trial claims), were identified by the Commission as bearing signs of unfair competition in the cross-border commodity market for dry plaster gypsum mixtures, aimed at gaining advantages in entrepreneurial activity. Such actions of Alina Group LLP were aimed, in fact, at interfering with the established economic relations of the competitor, reducing the volume of supplies.
The Commission issued a warning to Alina Group LLP to stop the actions having signs of violation of the general rules of competition and to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the occurrence of the violation.
Within the prescribed time frame, Alina Group LLP notified the Commission of the enforcement of the above warning, which will allow Russian business entities to supply dry plaster gypsum mixtures to the markets of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As all the requirements of the warning to eliminate signs of violation have been met, the EEC stopped considering the application.
