The Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board has amended the List of standards, as well as the Program for developing interstate standards ensuring the application of the Technical Regulation "On safety of toys".
The list of standards has been supplemented with methods for determining the migration level of caprolactam, benzapyrene and acetylbenzene from the toy’s material, which were developed and certified following relevant research activities carried out by the EEC. In order to prepare and accredit testing laboratories for these methods, the decision contemplates their application since January 1, 2024.
The method texts have been posted on the Commission’s official website in the "Research Results" section.
Amendments to the Program for developing interstate standards have been prepared amid implementing 90% of the ongoing program and contemplates developing and revising 18 interstate standards, 11 of which will be based on recent versions of international and regional standards (ISO, IEC and EN), and 2 standards will be based on methods for determining the migration level of butadiene and chlorobenzene developed by the Commission within research activities and already included in the List of standards to the technical regulation in January of this year subject to their application before relevant interstate standards are developed.
