The EEC Board updates the lists of standards to the technical regulations of the Union in the field of railway transport safety

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the lists of standards for the implementation of technical regulations in the field of railway transportation. The lists are supplemented by nine standards.

The changes will come into effect in 30 calendar days due to the special importance of these standards for industry and the relevance of conformity assessment procedures for railway engineering products.

Moreover, new editions of the lists of standards were approved to come into force in 180 calendar days in order to ensure accreditation of conformity assessment bodies for new versions of standards.

Amendments to the lists of standards were prepared using the results of monitoring the adoption, application, updating and cancellation of standards included in the relevant lists of standards.

“The purpose of these changes is to create conditions for the application of current versions of standards and a systematic transition from national standards to interstate standards as they are developed and put into effect,” noted EEC Minister in charge of Technical Regulation Valentin Tataritsky.

Changes to the lists of standards were developed by the Russian Ministry of Transport together with government bodies of the EAEU countries with the participation of experts and representatives of the business community.

A transitional adaptation period has been established for applying certain interstate and national standards.
