The issues of improving technical regulation, and applying sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures were considered at a meeting of the relevant Advisory Committee chaired by Viktor Nazarenko, Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The draft Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On safety of building materials and products" and draft amendments to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "Safety of highways" were approved for public discussion.
The Advisory Committee's members recommended to send draft amendments to the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "On safety of meat and meat products", updated lists of standards to the Technical Regulation "On safety of flammable natural gas prepared for transportation and (or) use", "On requirements for lubricants, oils and special liquids", “On requirements to motor and aviation petrol, diesel and marine fuel, jet fuel and fuel oil”, “On safety of perfume and cosmetic products” and “On safety of packaging” for consideration at the EEC Board's meeting.
The procedure for registering mineral fertilizers, forming and maintaining a unified register of mineral fertilizers authorized for circulation in the Eurasian Economic Union's market and amendments to the United regulations and standards to ensure plant quarantine in the EAEU territory in terms of inspecting the places of production (manufacturing), sorting, storage and packaging of seed and planting material imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union from third countries and in terms of providing results of phytosanitary risk analysis when supplementing the Unified List with new hazardous organisms were approved for consideration at the EEC Board's meeting as well.
In addition, the Advisory Committee's members discussed the results of implementing the pilot project on issuing documents on conformity assessment with the requirements of the Customs Union's Technical Regulation "On safety of wheeled vehicles" in electronic form and forming a temporary register of such documents.
