EAEU agricultural output increased by 1.6% in January-March 2022

The Eurasian Economic Union’s agricultural output increased by 1.6% in January-March 2022 compared to the same period last year. The growth was observed in Kyrgyzstan by 2.3%, Russia — by 1.9% and Kazakhstan — by 1.8%.

In particular, the production of main types of livestock products has increased: livestock and poultry (live weight) — by 4.3%, milk — by 1.5% and eggs — by 3.2%.

Russia (+5.5%) and Kyrgyzstan (+2.8%) took the lead in increasing the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter. Milk production has increased in all the EAEU States, except for Armenia. However it is notable for the maximum increase in egg production – by 14.7%. In Kazakhstan, the same indicator has increased by 12.8%.
