EEC and Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development discussed areas of interaction
Bakytzhan Sagintaev, Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held meetings with Andreas Schaal, Director of the Directorate for Global Relations and Cooperation, on May 11 at the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris.
Besides, Bakytzhan Sagintaev held a meeting with William Thompson, Head of the Eurasia Division at the OECD Directorate for Global Relations and Cooperation.
The parties informed each other about the EEC and the OECD international activities, and considered relevant matters of international cooperation of mutual interest.
Bakytzhan Sagintaev discussed possible areas of cooperation in light of deepening integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Union, including within the OECD-Eurasia program.
Following the meetings, the parties expressed their readiness to interact, noting the importance of establishing information exchange, and holding working meetings and expert consultations.
