Volume of EAEU foreign trade reached 844 bln US dollars in 2021

At year-end 2021, the volume of foreign trade of the Eurasian Economic Union countries amounted to 844.2 bln US dollars, which is 35.1% more than in 2020.

Exports of goods to countries outside the EAEU increased by 44.1% in 2021 and amounted to 525.7 bln US dollars. The growth in exports to foreign market is due to an increase in exports of goods from Belarus by 47.8%, Russia by 47%, Kazakhstan by 25.8% and Armenia by 16.8%.

The price conditions of foreign trade were characterized by a favorable ratio of prices for exported and imported goods (the price conditions index was 136%).

The main buyers of goods exported from the EAEU were the European Union countries (their share was 42.2% of export deliveries) and APEC (28.3%). On a country-by-country basis, China (15.1%) and the Netherlands (9.3%) take the lead in the delivery of goods from the EAEU. China (27.4%) and Germany (9.8%) are the major importers of goods to the Union's market.

The growth of exports in mutual trade was registered in all the Union States: by 44.9% in Kyrgyzstan, by 34.9% in Kazakhstan, by 34.3% in Russia, by 25.2% in Armenia and by 24.7% in Belarus.

Booming trade in food products and agricultural raw materials was carried out. In 2021 compared to 2020, the volume of deliveries to the Union's market from Kyrgyzstan increased by 36.9%, from Russia - by 31.4% and from Armenia - by 25.5%.
