The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved amendments to the list of standards for research (test) and measurement methods to the technical regulations of the Customs Union “On Food Safety” (TR TS 021/2011).
They were prepared to comply with the technical regulations subject to amendments thereto regarding the establishment of maximum permissible levels of residual quantities of veterinary medicines (pharmacologically active substances and their metabolites) in food products of animal origin adopted by the Commission Council on June 23, 2023.
The list has been supplemented with two new structural elements which provide for including 50 interstate standards, three national standards of the Russian Federation, three national standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 34 methods.
Two interstate standards, one state standard of the Republic of Belarus, and five guidelines of the Russian Federation were also included in the list in terms of the current structural elements. Besides, the national standard of the Russian Federation was excluded from the list in view of adopting a relevant interstate standard.
The amendments adopted will
come into effect on July 10, 2024. This date is interconnected with the
effective date of amendments to TR TS 021/2011 (after 12 months from its
official publication date on July 10, 2023).
