This was said by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya on June 25 at the 66th annual session of the Trade and Development Board of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which is being held in Geneva from June 24 to June 28.

26 Jun 2019 EAEU keeps ahead of MERCOSUR and ASEAN in terms of integration Despite its youth and owing to its well-developed institutional structure, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) keeps ahead of the MERCOSUR and ASEAN in terms of integration which history dates back more than 30 and 50 years, respectively, yet, in terms of integration, it is behind the European Union (EU) only. This conclusion was reached by the authors of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) report “System of integration indicators as a tool to analyze the functioning of regional integration associations”.
