12 Oct 2017 SEEC results: start of the digital phase of Eurasian integration The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is ready to implement new formats of cooperation and international cooperation, including in the spheres of space, launch first joint projects in the field of digital transformation of the economies of the Union countries, actively protect free competition and equal rights for all producers in the Eurasian economic space. 11 Oct 2017 The EEC and IEC to intensify joint work on standardization in the field of electrical engineering The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) agreed to establish a joint Working Group on implementation of previously signed Memorandum of Understanding between the EEC and IEC in the sphere of technical regulation and standardization. The Group, which will include representatives of both Commissions and authorized state authorities of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), will work to improve the competitiveness and safety of electrical products in the Union states and elimination of excessive administrative regulation in trade.

10 Oct 2017 Results of the first year of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EAEU Over the first 10 months of operation of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), exports of goods from the Union countries to Vietnam increased by 32% compared to the same period in 2015-2016. Supplies of Vietnamese products to the markets of the EAEU grew by 28%. This was reported by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mukai Kadyrkulov in Hanoi at a press conference dedicated to the first anniversary of the entry into force of the aforementioned Agreement.

10 Oct 2017 The EEC Minister Sergey Sidorskiy: "The market of cement and construction materials in the EAEU must be balanced" In 2016, excess capacities for cement production in the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to 69.5 million tons and was almost twice as much as the market demand in the Union. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) prepared a draft document, which included systematic measures to balance the supply and the demand for cement and other construction materials on the market of the Union. This was reported by the EEC Board Member - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex Sergey Sidorskiy at the meeting of the Integration Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) on the cooperation with the EEC.

10 Oct 2017 Customs of the EAEU countries and Vietnam plan to start sharing information about the transferred goods in October, 2018 The third round of negotiations between the customs bodies of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Hanoi concluded with agreeing on the composition of shared information for the electronic exchange on goods transferred between the Union and Vietnam. According to the agreements, the Parties will launch information exchange in trial mode two years after the effective date of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam.
