EAEU statistics for 2023 published

The Statistics Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission has published a monthly analytical review of the main socio-economic indicators of the Eurasian Economic Union for January – December 2023.

In January – December 2023, there was an increase in the EAEU industrial production by 3.7%, the volume of completed construction grew by 8.6%, and retail trade turnover increased by 6.6%. According to preliminary estimates, gross domestic product for January – December 2023 amounted to 2,391.9 bln US dollars (103.8% compared to the level of January–December 2022).

Cargo turnover during this period increased in Kyrgyzstan (by 8.2%) and Kazakhstan (by 3.1%); passenger turnover grew in Armenia (by 63.3%), Russia (by 12.8%), Kazakhstan (by 10.3%), Kyrgyzstan (by 8.7%), and Belarus (by 7.8%).

The EAEU registered unemployment rate was 0.8% of the labor force.

In addition to US dollars, the main socio-economic indicators for January – December 2023 were calculated in the currencies of the EAEU Member States.
