This instruction was given by the Heads of Government of the EAEU countries at a meeting held on June 21 in Minsk after studying a report on creating and developing transport infrastructure in the territories of the EAEU countries, prepared as part of implementing the Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025.
Along with that, the EAEU countries will proceed from the need to establish cooperation between the development institutions of the Union and the People's Republic of China to ensure financing of transport projects as well as explore the possibility of connecting the Member States to implementing projects for developing the Eurasian transport corridors and routes being performed in a bilateral format.
The reports to the Intergovernmental Council will be provided at least twice a year which will make it possible to promptly respond to changing conditions in the existing transport environment.
These measures for developing the Union’s transport infrastructure will enable expanding the capacity of highways, as well as eliminating "bottlenecks" (restrictions) of transport infrastructure in the territories of the EAEU States.
