17 May 2019 EEC and ESCAP signed Memorandum of Understanding The Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Timur Zhaksylykov and the Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The ceremony was held as part of the Astana Economic Forum on May 17.

17 May 2019 25 years of Eurasian Integration: from idea to fully operational Eurasian Economic Union The current stage of the Eurasian Economic Integration as well as the prospects for further development of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were discussed by representatives of public authorities, business and expert circles and international organizations on June 16 at the Astana Economic Forum at the Session “25 years of the Eurasian Integration: from Idea to Implementation”. It was moderated by the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tatyana Valovaya.

08 May 2019 Commission held consultations with business on marking goods with the EAC mark The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) held consultations with representatives of state authorities and business community of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries to discuss the situation with one of the restrictions included in the “White Book” of the EAEU obstacles. This refers to the requirement of the customs authorities of the Russian Federation for the goods imported into the country to be already marked with the Customs Union conformity mark EAC (after the English - Eurasian Conformity).

07 May 2019 EEC and WIPO to strengthen cooperation on intellectual property On May 7, Timur Zhaksylykov, the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and Francis Gurry, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the EEC and the WIPO at the meeting held in Geneva (Switzerland).

30 Apr 2019 European business leaders are interested in full-scale dialogue with EAEU This conclusion was made by the Director of the Integration Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Sergey Shukhno who participated in the annual conference “Foreign economic relations of the European Union with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)” held in Prague (Czech Republic). “We regularly meet with representatives of various government agencies and business circles of the European Union, - stressed Sergey Shukhno. “The interest of the European business leaders in our Eurasian project and the opportunity for full-scale cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union has been growing especially fast in recent years”.

26 Apr 2019 EEC and UNECE make progress in using the same semantic standards for the exchange of trade data in the European space The application of international standards and data models in regulating information exchange procedures in the sphere of cross-border trade was discussed by the representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) during a working meeting at the EEC headquarters. The UNECE experts reported on new tools and projects being implemented in this area.

The countries have reached consensus on the latest disagreement.

16 Apr 2019 EAEU countries should switch to a single system of electronic vehicle passports by November 1, 2019 This was stated by the Heads of relevant government agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries at the meeting chaired by the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Viktor Nazarenko, which was held in the EEC.
