From November 14 to 18, experts of the Eurasian Economic Commission and authorized representatives of the EAEU states led by the EEC Director of the Customs Infrastructure Department Daniyar Imanaliev, with the participation of representatives of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu National Company", conducted monitoring of infrastructure and equipment of the customs checkpoints of the Kyrgyz Republic on the customs border of the Union.

The participants got acquainted with the modernized Irkeshtam, Dostuk and Kyzyl-Kiya automobile checkpoints and the Kara-Suu, Jalal-Abad, Shamaldy-Sai and Kyzyl-Kiya railway checkpoints, monitored their retrofitting with the necessary equipment, technical facilities and customs control systems.

A high level of checkpoint infrastructure and training of the Kyrgyzstan customs officials for the operation and use of technical facilities of customs control was noted.

"The modernized checkpoints that we visited fully comply with the customs requirements of the Union," Daniyar Imanaliev emphasized. "The Commission will inform the governments of the Member States about the monitoring results. In 2023, together with the authorized representatives of our countries, we plan to monitor the remaining checkpoints of the Kyrgyz Republic to make sure that all planned activities to upgrade the customs infrastructure have been completed."
