The budget surplus increased in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan (1.4 times and 7.8 times, respectively) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In Kazakhstan, the budget deficit increased by 2.8 times. In Russia the budget surplus turned into a deficit.
As of October 1, 2023, the public-sector debt denominated in national currency increased by 10.5% in Armenia, by 22.2% in Kazakhstan, by 26.9% in Kyrgyzstan, and by 30.8% in Russia. In the structure of public-sector debt, external debt prevailed in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, while internal debt prevailed in Kazakhstan and Russia.
