The EAEU member states are beginning the process of ratification of the Customs Code Treaty
On April 11, the phase of signing the Treaty on the EAEU Customs Code was completed. The member states start some in-house procedures which are necessary prior to ratification of the document. The new Customs Code will come into force after the Eurasian Economic Commission receives notification about ratification of the Treaty from all of the 5 member states.

The topic of discussion in Tajikistan is the future of the EAEU cooperation
As the Director of Integration Department at EEC, Sergey Shukhno said in his speech in Kurgan-Tyube (Tajikistan), “We are prepared for cooperation in any form, the degree of our preparedness depends on how Tajikistan is ready for that”.

The Eurasian Economic Commission continued improving the EAEU accreditation system
Issues related to the improvement of accreditation system in the EAEU were discussed during the meeting with participation of authorised authorities in charge of accreditation in the EAEU member states. The meeting was held by the Eurasian Economic Commission. The main focus was discussion of vectors for development of the EAEU accreditation system, including the latest revision of Procedure for including the conformity verification authorities into the EAEU Single Register.

Among the issues discussed during the working visit of Valery Koreshkov, the Minister of EEC Board in charge of technical regulation were: cooperation between the EAEU member states and Mongolia in the field of technical regulation, sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary standards.

EEC is working on establishing a single reinsurance pool within the EAEU
The Eurasian Economic Commission is working on establishing a single reinsurance pool within EAEU The expected result is removal of restrictions caused by the fact that domestic insurance companies conclude reinsurance contracts with reinsurers from the other member states.

During the round-table meeting in Almaty (Kazakhstan) the representatives of national banks, financial agencies and the EEC were discussing the Concept of establishing a single EAEU finance market.

EEC is participating in preparing an international agenda for the transport security issues
On April 6 through 7, in Saint-Petersburg an International Forum for Transport Security took place. Among the issues discussed during the Forum were legislative regulation in transport security, level of protection of transport facilities from the act of unlawful interference, challenges and solutions in providing transport security.
