The EEC Board decided to apply anti-dumping duties to Chinese importers of drill pipes
The decisions to eliminate temporary import customs duties on some agricultural products and to apply anti-dumping duty to the Chinese company Shanghai Hilong Drill Pipe Co., Ltd. were adopted at the session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). In addition, the report on crediting and distribution of the amounts of import customs duties between the budgets of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in 2016 was adopted, and a reference book of quarantine items in the Union countries was approved.

The Eurasian electronic commodity exchange of the Silk Road will be created based on the Universal Commodity Exchange Eurasian cooperation
The Supervisory Board of the Financial & Banking Association of the Euro-Asian Cooperation (FBA EAC) supported the proposal of the Presidium of the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on establishment of the Eurasian electronic commodity exchange of the Silk Road. The Association is ready to put forward an initiative for the implementation of this project based on the Universal Commodity Exchange Eurasian cooperation (UCE EC). This was stated by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Timur Zhaksylykov, which first held a session of the Supervisory Board as its Chairman.

EAEU and India began formal negotiations on a free trade agreement
Signing of the joint declaration on launching negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Republic of India was held at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, on June 3. The Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, Veronika Nikishina, signed the document for and on behalf of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The State Minister of Industry and Trade of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, signed it for India.

A Free Trade Area Agreement between the EAEU and India will contribute to the growth of the economies of the Union countries with the rates higher than the average ones
This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tigran Sargsyan, during negotiations with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Tigran Sargsyan stressed that the Heads of all the five Union Member States had expressed their strong desire to strengthen trade relations with India and develop various forms of economic interaction. The most important step would be signing of a Free Trade Area (FTA) Agreement between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and India. The meeting was attended by the Member of the Board — Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC, Veronika Nikishina.

EEC Minister Tatyana Valovaya: "The Commission will continue a dialogue between the EAEU and countries, and integration associations of Latin America”
It is necessary to continue the dialogue between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and states and integration associations of the Latin American region, think together how to build new partner global economy. This was stated by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Tatyana Valovaya, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum within the framework of the business dialogue “EAEU – Latin America: increasing the pace of cooperation."

The EAEU starts to apply simplified rules for importing goods for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup 2018
From June 3 in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) simplified rules for importing goods for organizing the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup 2018 start to be applied. Importing sports equipment and technical equipment for the work of football teams, judges, organizers, broadcasters and press under simplified rules will be possible for the period of sports events, after that the goods must be exported from the customs territory of the EAEU.
