Sergei Vladimirov, Director of the Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice of the Eurasian Economic Commission, informed on improving the Eurasian Economic Union's customs regulation, speaking at the round table “Trends in the legal regulation of seamless customs logistics and the transboundariness of green digital corridor”.
The event was held by the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, researchers and faculty members from leading Russian universities, representatives of associations and corporations of the business community involved in foreign economic activity, logistics and transport were invited to participate.
Sergei Vladimirov has noted that the customs regulation is always at the intersection of the state and business interests. Besides, he has informed that the draft comprehensive Protocol on amendments to the EAEU Customs Code is currently prepared to be sent for internal coordination.
"Simplifying the movement of containers used for the international goods transportation is among the main innovations included in the draft Protocol which is the most important and highly anticipated by the transport and logistics business,” Sergei Vladimirov said. “Given all the regulatory deadlines, it is scheduled to send the draft Protocol for internal coordination in May this year.”
