Commission discussed simplification of filling out certain boxes of declarations for goods

A meeting of the working group on customs declaring procedure at the relevant EEC Advisory Committee was held under the chairmanship of Grigor Ohanyan, Deputy Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Department for Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice.

A number of issues were considered, including those initiated by the business community. The discussion focused on simplifying the declaration for goods, including the possibility of omitting information on the previous customs procedure and the previous document, as well as on transport means in certain cases when exporting goods.

The experts generally endorsed the proposals to optimize the rules for specifying container information to ensure selectivity of customs control, their automatic processing and minimization of goods inspection cases.

The Procedure for filling out the declaration for goods was approved by Decision No. 257 of the Customs Union's Commission dated May 20, 2010.

The Working Group on customs declaring procedure was established by the decision of the EEC Advisory Committee on Customs Regulation.
