Approval of EEC action plan on implementing priorities of Russian chairmanship in EAEU governing bodies

An order by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, approved the EEC action plan on implementing the Russian chairmanship priorities set out in the Address by Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Heads of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States.

The action plan includes 12 objectives; to accomplish them, in 2023–2027 the Commission plans to perform around 80 activities together with the EAEU countries. 

In particular, the Commission and the Union countries are to: 

- update the targets in global and regional positioning of the Union as part of determining the Main Directions of the EAEU International Activities for 2024; 

- prepare proposals on promoting cooperation in developing and introducing research and technology solutions in priority economic activities for industrial cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union; 

- examine the issue of preparing new long-term planning documents that will define the key vectors of integrative cooperation for the period until 2030 and 2045;

- lay out a long-term strategic program for research and technology development of the Eurasian Economic Union;

- develop a list of joint large-scale high-tech projects able to become symbols of the Eurasian integration;

- ensure implementation of the Target Program for the Development of the Integrated Information System of the Eurasian Economic Union until 2027; 

- prepare proposals on strengthening food security and a wide range of measures aimed at further agricultural sector development;

- examine the issue of creating the Eurasian rating agency; 

- prepare an action plan (road map) for implementing the Main Directions and Stages of the Coordinated (Harmonized) Transport Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States for 2024-2026;

- ensuring building a systematic dialog with external partners such as the SCO, ASEAN, CIS, MERCOSUR and other regional economic associations based on the singed cooperation documents.

Moreover, it is planned to perform a wide range of other activities.

The Board of the Commission will regularly monitor the action plan implementation.
