EEC discussed crash implementation of EAEU development priorities
Artak Kamalyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission, held a meeting with Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan. The dialogue participants have stressed the importance of crash implementation of activities on the five principal directions of the Eurasian Economic Union development outlined by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his address to the Heads of the EAEU States on January 15 this year. The parties have noted that all participants in the integration process should focus on such long-term priorities as maintaining the stability of economic and social systems, improving social welfare, ensuring the progress of each Member State and the EAEU as a whole.

Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of EEC Board, held meeting with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of Majlis of Islamic Council of Iran
The meeting touched upon relevant matters of multilateral interaction and the trade and economic agenda. In particular, implementing the Interim Agreement leading to the formation of a free trade area between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the start of negotiations on a free trade agreement as well as ways to intensify cooperation in general were discussed.

EAEU imposes anti-dumping duty on welded pipes and sections from PRC
On February 9, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board decided to impose an anti-dumping duty on a number of types of welded pipes and stainless steel sections from the People's Republic of China. The duty will remain in force for five years and its rate will be from 14.62 to 17.28%, depending on the manufacturer.
