The EAEU countries pool their resources in space
The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will receive modern satellite constellation, which will conduct survey with multispectral coverage with a resolution of less than a meter. This will be the result of the implementation of the project "Establishment of an integrated system of the Eurasian Economic Union to provide space and geoinformation services on the basis of the pool resources of the Earth remote sensing (ERS).” This was stated by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the EEC, Sergey Sidorskiy, at the thirteenth session of the Advisory Committee for Industry of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which took place on May 16.

The EEC Council adopted the EAEU technical regulations that establish safety requirements for equipment of children’s playgrounds
The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) adopted the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) “On safety of equipment for children’s playgrounds”. It establishes requirements for safety of equipment and coverings for children’s playgrounds and associated processes of design, manufacture, installation, operation, storage, transportation and disposal. In particular, equipment construction should ensure its durability and stability, be protected against corrosion and ageing, taking into account the application severity level. The child’s body or garments must not get stuck in the equipment, it must not have any sharp ends or edges.

Information on Eurasian innovation technology platform “Technologies in Metallurgy and Advanced Materials” was updated
The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) amended Disposition of the Commission Council No. 32 dated October 18, 2016, complementing it with the information on the goals, objectives, main activities, and data on the founders of the Eurasian Innovation Technology Platform (ETP) “Technologies in Metallurgy and Advanced Materials”. This is already the twelfth technology platform created within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

The outcomes of the EEC Board session: in the EAEU an electronic vehicle certificate system will be introduced, playgrounds for children will be safer, in the metallurgical industry the Eurasian Innovation Center will appear
Issues related to the introduction in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) of the electronic vehicle certificate system, the development of regulations governing common markets of medicines and medical products, reducing import customs duties rate for tannins and tanning preparations were discussed at the session of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on May 17. In addition, the technical regulation “On safety of equipment for children’s playgrounds” was adopted, and some earlier decisions of the Commission were amended.

The EEC Board approved the EAEU draft technical regulations that establish requirements for packaged drinking water
On May 16, the session of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) was held. The agenda included issues of technical regulations. In particular, it approved the draft technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) “On safety of packaged drinking water, including natural mineral water”. In addition, the Members of the Board - Ministers of the EEC considered a draft disposition of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on preparation and conduct of the national census in the EAEU countries in 2020.

The EAEU international activities - in the youth focus
The Director of the Integration Development Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Sergey Shuhkno, told young experts, academics and journalists about new opportunities for manufacturers from the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in respect of access to new markets. The speech of the EEC representative was held on May 16 at the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation in the framework of the school “International Cooperation of the EAEU" organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Russian Council for International Affairs.

The school of the EEC and the RCFA "International Cooperation of the EAEU" starts its operation
On May 15, in the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Russian Federation, the Joint School of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Russian Council for Foreign Affairs (RCFA) "International Cooperation of the EAEU” started its operation. Its members are young experts, scientists and journalists from the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other countries of the world, competently studying and writing about challenges of the Eurasian integration.

At its session, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) decided to notify the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the need for execution of the Treaty on the EAEU in respect of eliminating quantitative restrictions established for sports legionnaires from the EAEU countries.
