02 Nov 2016 Experts of the Eurasian Union States discussed formation of an interstate import matrix On November 1, Almaty hosted the international seminar on the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) methodology and practice in forming a matrix of use of imported products, agreeing the methodologies for calculating data regarding balance of payments on the export and import of goods and services within the system of interstate input-output tables. The participants also discussed the use of transitional terms from the nomenclature of commodities in foreign-economic activity and classifiers of international trade in services to goods classifiers.

01 Nov 2016 The EEC develops cooperation of the EAEU countries in scientific and innovative activity in the agroindustrial sector On October 31, at the session of the Advisory Committee for Agroindustrial Complex under the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission chaired by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the EEC Sergey Sidorskiy, draft documents on development of inter-state cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEU) in research and innovation were approved: The procedure for organization of joint scientific & research and experimental & design works in agroindustrial sector and the Commission Board Recommendation on Coordination of scientific and innovation activities of the EAEU Member States EEMA in agroindustrial sector.

01 Nov 2016 The EEC continues to work on cooperation of the EAEU countries in the development of export potential of the agroindustrial complex. On October 31, the session of the Advisory Committee for Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission chaired by the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the EEC Sergey Sidorskiy addressed the draft Recommendation of the Commission Board "On agreed actions of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the development of export potential of agricultural products and foodstuffs”.

01 Nov 2016 The EEC and the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs discussed opportunities for cooperation with China in science and technology On November 1, a meeting was held between the Member of the Board - Minister in charge of Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Sergey Sidorskiy, and the President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) Victor Glukhikh.

31 Oct 2016 The EEC Minister Veronika Nikishina: "Export promotion requires lifting of tariff and non-tariff barriers.” On 28 October a round table "Strengthening of cooperation in the EAEU internal market as a means of export promotion" was organized on the sidelines of the international "Eurasian week" forum.

31 Oct 2016 The EEC established the Advisory Board for interaction of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union The EEC Board adopted establishment of the Advisory Board for interaction of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union. The Advisory Board will be a platform where, continuously and together with business associations of the countries of the Union, strategic and systemic issues of development and functioning of integration associations will be discussed.

31 Oct 2016 Experts approved the draft Agreement on Harmonization of Specific Subsidies On October 27-28, Minsk hosted the session of the Eurasian Economic Commission Working Group for elaboration of a draft Agreement on Harmonization of Specific Subsidies, with the participation of representatives of public authorities of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

31 Oct 2016 Eurasian Week Forum & Expo ended Summing up the work of the round table “Digital Initiatives”, held within the framework of the Eurasian Week Forum & Expo, the participants of the discussion noted the need to update the mechanisms for discussion of business initiatives, primarily the initiatives under the digital agenda.
